After hearing from a few friends how good Cala is in Dún Laoghaire, we decided to give it a try — and it did not disappoint.

From the moment we arrived, everything felt just right. The service was superb: warm, attentive and genuinely welcoming without being overbearing. The interiors are beautifully done, and the ambience is excellent — relaxed yet refined, making it equally suited to a casual dinner or a special occasion.

The menu is very varied and thoughtfully put together. As a vegetarian, I would have loved to see perhaps one more starter option that wasn’t cheese. I opted for the nut roast for my main course, and it was absolutely delicious — beautifully presented, full of different flavours and textures, and clearly prepared with great care and attention to detail.

My dinner guest chose the octopus and said it was exceptional — perfectly cooked and packed with flavour.

For food of this quality, everything felt very fairly priced. It’s indulgent dining without being over the top, and you really feel you’re getting value for the standard delivered.

We’ll definitely be back and are delighted to have such a fantastic restaurant in the neighbourhood

My partner and I visited Cala last night and had an amazing experience. It's a beautiful, cosy restaurant with a wonderful atmosphere. We ordered the beef and the octopus, and both dishes were beautifully presented. The flavours were simply incredible—every bite was a delight. The standard of the food was truly impressive.
The staff were friendly, attentive, and highly professional, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. We'll definitely be back and would highly recommend Cala to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience.
